Your friendly local optometrist, based in Ballymoney, Northern Ireland.
I have decided that the time is right for me to retire as your local optometrist and ophthalmic contractor, and allow my colleagues to continue to develop this practice as we move forward in 2021.
It has been my great pleasure to serve the people of Ballymoney and the surrounding area over the past thirty three years. I have had the privilege of watching children grow up and return with their own children to have their eyes and vision checked. We have grown older together, gone through good times and hard times, shared laughter, joy and even cried together. Thank you for making it a pleasure to work in this town and community.
Although I am sad to be leaving, I am very pleased to be handing the practice to a very special team, and am delighted that my colleague Ian McClelland has agreed to take over the business.
Ian has been working with me for eighteen years and is already well known and respected by the staff, patients and our suppliers. Optical assistants Valerie and Rosemary will continue to work with him in the care of all patients. Clinical records associated with
J E Adams Opticians will remain at 1, Castlecroft, Ballymoney where they can be accessed as required.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of my patients for their support over the years and I know that Ian will continue to serve you well for many years to come.
Following guidance from the Health and Social Care Board, we have commenced our Phase 2 reopening, and are now pleased to welcome back our patients for routine eye examinations, dispensing and repairs.
In order to maintain a safe environment for our patients and staff, we ask that all visiting patients adhere to the following guidelines:
Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to seeing you in the practice again very soon!
